If my memories fail me, at least I can build new ones. (or possibly check my blog archive, to re-learn my history.)

More Progress!

This week has been difficult at best to make any progress, but my loving wife has given me the time to work on my site today, and I have made some good progress. I managed to build a very nice portfolio module, but had to strip it out do to the possibility of copyright issues on screen shot material to be used in the portfolio.  (This is why my portfolio is pure text folks...)  So I added my portfolio, and also built the search functionality.    Another thing I have done...

Day 5

Today I saw "Avitar: The last air bender in 3D".  I really liked it.  Strip away all the Buddhist spiritualism and it was a very good film.  Good job M. Night Shyamalan.  I like your general style for casting, film photography, perspective, and in general most of the work you do.  Good stuff.  Aside from that It is presently 2 AM and my pillow is calling.  Perhaps tomorrow I can finish my portfolio  section....

Day 3

Day 3 I'd like to thank Entheos  (Kenny) for the contribution of the laptop (and desktop).  They are remarkably helpful.  I made no progress on my site on yesterday, because I had my hands full setting up  the laptop, and spending time with family.  I have to go to work now, but hopefully today I will make some very good progress....

Day 2

Well today, the second say of the site being live I focused on basic site improvement, and general code cleanup.  I drastically reduced the number of DB queries in this version, as well as added quite a bit more functionality.  I know most people are un interested in this, however I have enjoyed the process.  I tested mobile usage and have successfully posted from a Nintendo DS-i, my cell phone still doesn't quite get it.  I have also made functional the contact forms,...

Moble entry test

Moble test a success I am currently sitting in a lounge chair negotiating weather or not to watch another episode of Dora the Explorer, and typing this out on my Ninteno DS-i. Suprisingly this is easier than expected, but due to the very limited browser I have limited functionality. (For example no spell checking), but aside from a few issues like that it seems to work nicely....

13 May 2009 - Howto convert flv's to xvid. I regularly watch shows on my computer, but in reality, I hate to sit in my computer chair and watch shows with my family. Recently I purchased a DVD player with divx and xvid reading abilites and a usb drive reader. So now I can watch my shows on my TV when I want to. I found I had a hard time, most shows on the internet are in FLV format. And my dvd player is a little picky about what it reads. So, I figured out how to convert my flv's to xvid...

RSS Notes

Imported from- February 20th 2009, RSS I just recently learned how to make RSS Feeds. I expected this to be much more complicated, because I had a hard time finding good documents on it. I hit the jackpot with w3cschools (I know they are there, I just always forget.) Anyway, I found the online class here, and it took about 5 minutes. Just for my records here are my notes from the class. RSS Reference Element Description Optional....
